This member of the euphorbia family... grows wild.. and is known for it's milkly-like sap... and pods that break open in the late summer... revealing a profusion of white tufted seeds that float through the air...

The Flowers are fragrant... and super hosts to pollinators... Bees, and specifically Monarch Butterflies...

P.S. This is one wild weed...I want more of in our Garden...

The Caladenia Melanema is a small inconspicuous, terrestrial spider orchid...

It is considered endangered... and from from Early August through September...

Native to Western Australia and limited to a small sub-population in a small region near Perth...

There are less than 300 adult plants known to exist in the wild... 

P.S. Based on the appearance of the flower... it is nicknamed... the Ballerina Orchid!
