Adding edible flowers to the menu

I love Nasturtium...  Because they are Orange and Yellow...

Because they have an amazing Fragrance...
Because they are amazing in a hanging basket...
and because you can Eat them...

One of our Favorite Organic Farms.... Real Food Farm
and Farmer Ben had some beautiful Nasturtium baskets this week
at the farmers market...

(Of course I bought a couple for the house)...

I love them... they smell sweet... and the flowers are a peppery
accent to many dishes... here's the recipe!

Nasturtium Caprese Salad-

Slice fresh heirloom tomatoes, top with sliced fresh mozzarella...
instead of Basil... Cover with Nasturtium blossoms(organic of course)...
garnish with pink himalayan sea salt... and extra virgin olive oil...

You can also add Balsamic Vinegar Reduction if you wish...

No need for fresh ground pepper... as the Nasturtiums add a fresh
peppery flavor...
