I took a pepper and cut out the stem and seeds... and then
placed a small piece of flower foam into the pepper...

and then just added flowers...

It was also the name of the rabbit on the Children's animated show- "Clifford's Puppy Days"... and a Swedish Musical Group...and American Record label... P Allen Smith- has over 400,000 of these planted on his Moss Mountain Farm ... and you can tour them... It's also the name of a Dutch Automobile from the 1960s... Mine are starting to come up in my yard.... and I love to float the flower heads in a bowl... as well as arrange them!!! I thought it was pretty interesting... Kangaroo Style!!!

A Native to Australia... the Kangaroo Paw Plant is named after the famous
Marsupial...

Not only because of the "fuzzy" exterior of the flower bud... shown here in Bright Red...

But because the Kangaroo "Paws"... or more descriptively "Claws"...
have 5 appendages... just like a human hand... and when they are open they look very much like the open bloom of the Kangaroo Paw Plant...shown here in green!

So now you know... I thought it was pretty interesting...

Edible Certified USDA Organic Flowers

Winter time is a great time to try out new recipes...
and I remember an ad campaign way back in the 70s...

"Put Flowers on the Menu Tonight"... and it was referring to a
bouquet of flowers... (Still a GREAT Idea By the way... ;)

I found these edible Certified USDA Organic Flowers... at the grocery
store.. next to the herbs... Yep... in Michigan! Can you believe it?!!

I added the flowers to our salads... Snapdragons: sweet and fruity...
Pansies- slightly peppery... and Marigolds...tangy with a touch of spice!

It was a great addition... plus... what's not to love about eating flowers!
P.S. Everyone can Put Flowers on the Table... in a vase OR even on the Plate!

my GIN TRICK... kept them from getting too tall...

The Paper-white Narcissus are in Bloom...

I love the fragrance... and it's a great way to start the New Year...
with Flowers blooming in the house...

And my GIN TRICK... kept them from getting too tall...
(1 Tablespoon of gin added to the container... per bulb - when you start them)...

The Gin stunts their growth and they are Blooming... Nice and Short!
